Day 1
We’ll leave Fes at 7 AM and make our way to Merzouga, passing through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Along the journey, we’ll stop in Ifrane, often called the “Little Switzerland of Morocco,” and in Azrou, known for its beautiful Cedar forests and playful Barbary macaques. We’ll also visit the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm tree oases and tasty dates. Once in Merzouga, you’ll enjoy a camel ride through the stunning sand dunes, catch a breathtaking sunset, and spend a magical night in a luxury desert camp under the stars. It’s sure to be an unforgettable adventure.
Day 2
After watching the beautiful sunrise in Merzouga, we’ll take a short tour of the city center. Then, we’ll travel to Khamlia, a lovely village near the Algerian border, famous for its lively Gnawa music. Our next stop will be Rissani, a historic city and the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, where you can explore the traditional market and soak in the nostalgic atmosphere of the 90s. For lunch, we’ll enjoy a tasty Berber pizza or Madfona, a bread filled with meat and almonds. After leaving Tafilalte, we’ll drive through the breathtaking Todgha Valley and Dades Gorges before spending the night in a comfortable hotel. It’s going to be an amazing experience.
Day 3
After breakfast, we’ll travel to Ouarzazate and explore several kasbahs, including the renowned Ait Benhaddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and famous filming location for movies like Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and Kingdom of Heaven. Next, we’ll drive through the beautiful Tizi n Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains, where we can pause to enjoy the stunning views and snap some photos. Finally, we’ll continue on to the lively city of Marrakesh. It’s going to be an unforgettable road trip.
